NOTARIZED DOCUMENTS FROM

FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR PURPOSES

OF REGISTRATION

Dear Valued Clients,

In terms of Regulation 4(2) of the

Companies Act, 2004 (Act No. 28 of 2004),

Business Registration applications and

required identification documentation from

foreign jurisdictions should be notarised by

a notary public in that country or

alternatively contain the seal and certificate

of an Apostille, as recognized in terms of

the 1961 Hague Convention on Abolishing

the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign

Public Documents

BIPA will only accept originally

notarised/apostilled documents upon filing

of such applications with the Registrar.
